Various open books spread across each other.

I wasn't sure how much time I'd have for reading once I'd given birth, but turns out a book is a pretty handy breastfeeding companion so I've managed to keep it up!

R E A D I N G :

Is It Really Green? by Georgina Wilson-Powell // This book covers pretty much every area of life and goes through different scenarios where you can be a little greener. Because it covers so much it took me a while to get through because it's a little overwhelming reading about just how many changes you could make, but it's useful for if there's something specific you're wondering about or a specific area you'd like to be more sustainable in.

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus // I've not watched the Netflix series based on this yet, but am adding it to my list. I wasn't sure about this at first as I'm not always a massive fan of books about teenagers, but I got really into it. It's about a kid who dies during detention and the suspected foul play involved that throws the others who were in detention with him into a police investigation. I definitely didn't expect the ending and I rated it four stars.

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid // I've read a lot of Taylor Jenkins Reid books and loved them, but this was the exception. Although I loved the concept - a woman whose husband dies in a helicopter accident moves on and gets engaged again years later only for her husband to return, facing her with an impossible decision - I didn't love the way she went about making her decision. I only rated it two stars in the end.

Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty // I wasn't sure where this was going to go when I first started reading it, but I loved it and couldn't put it down. It's about a family who find themselves in an unusual situation when their mother disappears and is set across two different times, during the months leading up to her disappearance and then they days afterwards. I rated it four stars.

Brassic // Sky // We watched the first two series of Brassic last year then got a bit bored of it, but we just started watched the third series and I'm absolutely loving it again. It's easy to watch and very entertaining, if a little far fetched at times! It takes us a while to get through one episode (I'm not sure we've watched one in one go yet!) thanks to a certain tiny human!

L I S T E N I N G :

Arctic Monkeys - The Car // Although their newer stuff isn't quite as much to my taste as their older bangers, I do still like it and there are some stand out favourites from their new album. With it being a lot calmer in style than their older music it makes for good background music during the day while I'm at home with a baby!
