Five Things I Did In February

Well February went by in a flash didn't it? I actually struggled to come up with five things because it doesn't seem to have been long enough to have even done that much, but I managed in the end. February hasn't felt quite as eventful as January, but it's been very nice indeed so here's five things I did that you may be vaguely (or possibly not at all) interested in:

I pitched to a brand (and they said yes) | This was something I'd been wanting to do for a while and hearing Kirsty's talk at Blog At The Beach inspired me to just go for it. It's a pretty nerve wracking thing to do so I was so pleased when they said yes. It's something I'll definitely do again because it just makes sense - I get to work with brands I really love and the brand gets genuine exposure from someone who is already passionate about them.

We sent out our wedding invitations | Which means if it wasn't already official, it definitely is now because people are coming to watch! It's the nicest thing when you realise that people actually want to come to your wedding and my best friend from when I was five is even coming which I'm so so happy about.

I started a hashtag on Instagram | OK so technically I did this at the end of January, but it actually took off in February and I'm so happy that people are actually using it! If people want to hop on the bandwagon (please do as I'd love more people to join in) it's #thesehappysquares and it's all for sharing little moments of positivity from your day.

We finished decorating the living room | It's hard to think of the living room as finished because we're still waiting for a sofa and don't have any furniture in there at all yet, but in terms of decorating it's all painted, the floor is down and all those annoying little jobs like skirting boards are finished too. We only have the hallway to go then we've finished the whole house!

I tried on my wedding dress again | When I bought my wedding dress I decided I wasn't going to keep trying it on because I didn't want to get 'used to it' if that makes sense, but because of that I'd kind of forgotten how good I feel in it. The reason I tried it on was to get my adjustments done and when we were waiting in the shop I couldn't help but look at all the pretty dresses and want to try some on. But then I put mine on and I forgot all about the other ones because OMG I love it and I'm so happy I had that reminder that I feel great in it.

What did you get up to this month?

  10. Love I'm SO excited you pitched to a brand; I've always pitched to brands if I have something in mind that I think could work - it's a great, pro-active way to work! I know it isn't for everyone but I always believe that you have nothing to loose, and it worked out amazing for you which is exciting!
