Anyone who reads my blog will know that I'm a big fan of casual dressing and I've joked before that if I could wear pyjamas outside then I would...well, they finally made pyjama tops an actual thing. Hallelujah. It's now fashionable to wear them outside and I am all over that. It's actually taken me a while to get round to buying one of these style tops, as I know they've been round a while (and it is NOT like me to pass up the opportunity to wear something comfortable), but not that many shops seemed to be selling them even though they were all over Instagram. But it's OK, never fear because Asos sale to the rescue.
Yep, I picked up this gem in the Asos sale a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Grey is one of my favourite colours to wear at the moment and because it's split block colours (if you can call grey and white colours...) it makes it that bit more interesting. Although I love the piping around the pyjama style shirts I'm quite glad this one doesn't have any as I'm not sure I dress smart enough usually for me to be able to pull that off without people thinking I'm actually just dressed in pyjamas. I don't think people would be too surprised TBH. It's super comfortable (obviously) and it is actually quite low cut, which means little vest top underneath it at work, but when I'm not at work I'm all about that let it all out life. I'm joking, I'd be mortified if I did actually let it all out.
The shirt goes perfectly with my new leather look trousers also from the Asos sale (but they're New Look) and I love the clash of the silky texture of the shirt against the grungy leather look. I had the best shoes to go with this outfit but they broke on their first outing just as I was walking to the car (thanks Daisy Street, but shout out to Asos for sending me a replacement pair) so I had to change into my spare pair I had with me, which are old and a bit tatty, but I still love them dearly.

DeleteI loooooove this outfit; it's very me. How can people say white/grey/black are not colours? They're the staple colours of my wardrobe! I live in my PJs so I wish it was acceptable to go out in my penguin ones! Your shirt looks a tad more stylish though!

Thank you! I know, they basically make up my wardrobe haha. Yeah the next step is for it to be acceptable to just go out in pyjamas - can't wait! xx
DeleteLOved the leather look trousers, really cool and I loved the shirt as well, and although it can be described as pyjama style, I saw it as a shirt, and a beautiful one! I think you are right, pyjamas are so comfortable, why not having them as a fashion style :) I will certainly wear some pyjama top! You look very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDenisesPlanet.com
