My Skin Pampering Routine

Something I've been enjoying more and more recently is having a good ol' pamper and Sunday is my day for pampering (unless I'm at work and then that just ruins everything). Sunday night is the night I have a nice long soak in the bath, double up on face masks and just make myself feel a bit sassier than I actually am.

Face

As I mentioned, I tend to double up on face masks when I'm having a proper pamper and recently I've been using the Facetox* mask, which is a clay powder that you mix with rose water to create a clay mask. Because you have to make up the mask yourself it really feels like you're having a pamper and I've actually found that the sachets have enough in them for two masks so I only use half and save the rest. The mask itself smells amazing (although if you don't like the smell of rose it's not for you) and it just leaves my skin feeling SO soft afterwards. To follow that I slather on some of the Aloe Protective Restoring Mask from The Body Shop, which I won't blab on about because I wrote a full ode post to it here. Once that's all sunk in and usually just before I go to bed I like to apply some of the Botanics Facial Oil, which smells so nice and relaxing and feels lovely if you take a bit of time to massage it into your skin.

Hands

Sunday night is usually when I repaint my nails for the week so I like to make sure my hands are as nice looking as they can be when you're blessed with stubby fingers and thumbs that resemble big toes. I've already written a post about the Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub (here) which makes my hands so amazingly soft and that with the Lush Helping Hands Hand Cream just makes the perfect duo. As well as making my hands smoothy smooth they're also really enjoyable and relaxing to use.

Body

I do make an effort to not neglect my body during the colder months and I am in a good habit of moisturising every day. I tend to only exfoliate once a week (although I'm not sure how often you're supposed to do it so for all I know that could be right) and I do so in the bath because it's just more comfortable and warmer than hopping about on one leg in the shower attempting to do it. For exfoliating I don't think anything can beat Soap & Glory products - they just leave your skin feeling so soft. I absolutely adore the Extracts range by Boots for moisturising because all of the scents are just so dreamy and they're super moisturising. They remind me of The Body Shop body butters, but they're cheaper so I feel like I'm winning.

Do you have any recommendations of products I should add to my pamper routine?

  5. Those face masks all sound amazing, girlie! I, too, to try to have a spa like day once a week, though it can be a challenge, haha; I try! I have to be honest and say that I tend to forget about my hands, I need to start using scrubs on them, too! Thanks so much for sharing the products you love and use with us and I hope you have the most amazing week ahead!

  15. I also like Sundays as pampering day, thought I use two other days of the week for that as well. Let's say all is part of the job, cause I do other things during the week that are not so glamorous :) I never heard of this Coconut hands scrub, it seems to be so good! I love Lush! Hope you have a very beautiful day!
