I've spent the whole of this week doing DIY, which despite helping me achieve the grey hair look I've been craving (unfortunately of the dust rather than dyed variety) I am so glad to be sat at my computer with an iced tea writing a blog post.
Last Sunday I attended my first Hull Bloggers meet, which I shouldn't have put off for so long (darn shyness) because it was so much fun and I met some lovely people who didn't even judge me when I stood up to get a flat lay of my tea and cake.
The meet up was held at Liquid Jade which is the cutest tearoom tucked away in a courtyard in the centre of Hull. I've been meaning to try it for ages so this was the perfect opportunity and I'll definitely be returning. They have such a huge selection of loose leaf teas, which is a bit of a mare for indecisive folk like me, but it just means I'll have to go back and try them all! The interiors are dreamy and the most perfect place to relax and have tea and cake (plus a big old blogging natter).
The atmosphere was so relaxed and we were given a little 'bucket list' to complete throughout the meet up, which was a really good ice breaker, plus I love a good to do list! We also had a little blogger workshop, where we swapped tips on things like social media, blogger's block and photography (definitely took away more tips than I gave...). I got lucky in the raffle and won some beautiful stationary by Busy B and some shampoo, plus we got a goody bag each - my favourite goody bag gift was definitely the beautiful jewellery from Tessie's.
I'm glad I managed to put my shyness aside and finally attend a Hull Bloggers meet up - everyone was so lovely and I've even been brave enough to buy a ticket to the Bloggers Blog Awards in Leeds next month (go me).
Thank you so much to Charley (@charleylucy), Hannah (@h_peacock) and Courtney (@retroandthrift) or organising the meet up and also to the brands that were involved!
